Essential motorcycle gear every rider needs
Is a helmet enough on a motorcycle? Short answer: no. So what do you need?

One of our students' most common questions: “Is a helmet enough on a motorcycle?” The answer is simple — no. Gear protects you not only in a crash but in everyday riding too: from wind, stones and fatigue.
1. Helmet
A full-face helmet gives the highest protection. It should fit snugly without squeezing. Check for a certification mark (ECE or DOT).
2. Gloves
Hands hit the ground first in a fall. Choose motorcycle gloves with palm sliders and knuckle protection.
3. Jacket
A jacket with shoulder, elbow and back protectors. In Baku's hot summers, ventilated mesh models are comfortable.
4. Trousers
Motorcycle trousers or protective jeans with knee armour. Ordinary jeans wear through on tarmac in seconds.
5. Boots
Ankle-covering motorcycle boots with a stiff sole. Trainers do not protect your feet.
The academy can provide gear for your first lessons — but your own kit is the best investment you can make.
Reading is good — practice is better. Learn this technique on the track with a coach.
